Hi all you Duffins! My father's name was Joseph, he was born in St. Louis, MO. He had three brothers, Leo, James and Forest. Forest was killed in a car accident in Chicago. My grandmother, Lovina Nash, was married to Edward Duffin, my grandfather. Lawrence was his brother and he had a sister name Rose. I don't know what part of Ireland they came from but my grandmother always told me the "O" was dropped in the ocean when they came over. So the name might have been O'Duffin. My father was a talented musician and music is part of our lives, handed down from him. I know that some of my Duffin relatives are from the Ozarks. Anyway, hope all that information sparks someone to recognize a connection. I love family ties!

Hi there Duffins, my grandfather and grandmother are both from ireland, although i dont know much about the history before that--i guess our name is a corruption of Duffy--a more common name in ireland. But its cool to come across a site like this.
